Complementary and Alternative Medicine

Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) is a group of diverse medical and health care systems, practices, and products that are not presently considered to be part of conventional western medicine. Unconventional treatments are called complementary when they are used along with standard treatments, while alternative therapy refers to those treatments used as a substitute for standard treatments.
